Winchcombe wanted a brochure site to start off with, something that would fit in with there brand, which Media Eden was also re-working, and something that would allow them to keep prices and stock levels up to date. Because of this we needed to create a dynamic site with a back end that would allow products to be added to the site and the information updated. I based the copding on that of another shopping cart that we had done previously (for Geoff Burch) and custom built much of the backend to suit the client.
One of the other requirements was for customers to be able to contact Winchcombe about products. Because we had already based the site on a shopping cart it was easy to extend this so that people could add products to a form which could then be submitted to the reclamation yard, much like a shopping cart would.
